BROADSPEED

This Australian Broadspeed Mini is a project car Andrew has owned since the the early 1990’s, and he has been gathering parts ever since. We have finally had some time to get into the restoration after finishing a customers U.K. Pick-Up and Andrew’s new Group N Historic Touring Car: Cooper S, which was finished in late 2025.

Andrew initially bought the Broadspeed as a shell bolted to a well made jig, that the car was originally built on several decades before. Though it came with Aussie doors the car is going to be more along the lines of the U.K. Ralph Broad (coach-built) version.

Powered by an ARDEN alloy headed 1293cc powerunit.

It will be painted Tartan Red with Black trim.

We took a “buck” or “plug” off the original just in case a client decides they too would like a very rare and modified “bespoke” classic Mini derivative. Though the costs involved are well outside the common rebuild of a factory classic car.

We hope you enjoy watching the car evolve and appreciate the skills and dedication of a select few, doing something we really enjoy.
